Microblading

Microblading is the artistic technique of placing pigment with individual tiny strokes of a "micro-blade -- a blade formed of tiny needles" over your existing eyebrows. Unlike traditional brows permanent makeup which uses a machine. Microblading artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows, resulting in natural-looking brows.

How it works

Microblading and other permanent cosmetic procedures are two-session processes Initial session & perfecting session. It is necessary to come back for the perfecting session (included in cost) within 4 -8 weeks following the initial procedure before it can be determined that your work is complete. Any other touch-ups after 8 weeks are considered "Touch-ups" with additional cost.

The color intensity of your procedure will be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. While these colors may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, they will not always remain a perfect match, as your own skin color will vary depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun, and circulatory changes.

* All services are included Initial Session - 2 hours & Perfection Session - 1 hour within 4-8 weeks.

* It takes approximately 15 minutes for numbing cream to take effect.

* All items that touch the skin are single-use and are discarded after the treatment

* Please follow After-care instructions and schedule for the Perfecting Session within 4-6 weeks.

Between the Initial and the Perfection Session, you may experience peeling and/or fading of the treatment area.

This is natural and part of the treatment process.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT

1. What is microblading?

Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a hand tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists h& draw each hair to match the color & coarseness of your eyebrows, resulting in natural-looking brows.

2. How long does the result last?

Once healed results last an average of 1-2 years. Since every skin is different results may vary.

3. Does it hurt?

We use a topical anesthetic before & during the procedure to numb the affected area.

Most clients compare the pain to getting your eyebrows threaded. Sensitive clients may experience a little & temporary pain, some others report no pain at all & may even fall asleep.

4. How long does the appointment last?

It usually takes about 2 hours, with most of the time spent drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading portion lasts 30-45 minutes

5. How do I prepare for my appointment?

Please refer to our Pre-Procedure Advice. In the week before your appointment we recommend avoiding blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol, fish oil, or using retinol creams. Please consult your physician if you have a medical condition and/or are taking medications.

6. How long does it take to heal?

You'll be able to wear your new brows back to lunch! In the first 10 days you will need to avoid getting them wet, working out, or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 30-45 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing.

7. What is the aftercare?

Stay out of the sun & water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, & sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a very small amount of Aquaporin ointment twice a day. Refer to our After-Care instructions & you will also be handed a printed copy to take home along with an aftercare kit when you come in for your appointment.

8. When should I get a touch up?

Microblading is a two-step process, and for your convenience we offer a complimentary touch up between 4-8 weeks of your appointment. Touch-ups after 8 weeks will have an extra cost.

9. Can I get microblading done while I`m pregnant?

No, we do not recommend microblading while pregnant or breastfeeding.

10. Who is NOT eligible for microblading?

We do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid scar disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like acutance &/or steroids.

11. Can I get microblading done if I have a scar in my brow area?

If you have a scar, please contact us & provide a picture so that we can determine if you are a good candidate. Microblading is great for covering up most yet not all scars.

12. Does microblading work on all skin tones & skin types?

Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones & types. Oily skin may need more frequent touch ups. If you suffer from Keloid disorder, we do not recommend microblading.

13. What is the difference between microblading & micropigmentation?

Technically microblading is a form of micro-pigmentation, but we use a microblade to hand draw individual hair strokes. Micropigmentation specialists use a permanent makeup machine, which offers less control & results in blurrier strokes.

14. Does it look like real hair?

Yes! Because draw in each individual hair to mimic your natural hair growth & pattern.
